The Team

Global Creative Direction (GCD) is the in-house content agency for the Tommy Hilfiger brand. It is made up of Art Directors, Producers, Designers, Editors and Writers. The teams concept, produce, shoot, retouch, edit, build and write. They deliver designs, imagery, video and copy for multiple stakeholders and channels across the business. It is a brief-driven organization that executes against global brand guidelines and standards for all projects, activations and campaigns. It also acts as a key contributor and guardian to those guidelines across regions and markets.

The Position

The Senior Specialist, Model Casting & Booking is the primary point of contact and executor of all model casting, negotiation, booking and management for shoots, fittings, style-outs and any other project that the GCD team works on. It works in lockstep with the Global Executive Creative Director and Global Creative Director and their teams (who approve models) to select and book model talent that is aligned to codes defined in the Global Brand Book. It balances this alongside its reporting line into the Director of Creative Operations where budget adherence, fee negotiation, usage agreement, legal clearances and agency management define success. Finally, even though the role does not approve model selection, it helps as a ‘sense-check’ for global channels, markets, departments or regions requiring input into model aesthetic.

Responsibilities
Include but not limited to:

• Research and maintain a global model roster of options that aligns to brief and brand alike.

• Conduct regular castings and execute go-sees to ensure renewable pipelines.

• Present castings and recommendations that allows creative leadership to make decisions.

• Double down on successful models to ensure ongoing usage and repeat bookings.

• Manage all model agency relationships (old and new) to ensure timely and cost-effective availabilities.

• Negotiate contract terms, usage, fees and legal clearances (including union representation where required) to consistently ensure best market value for the TH business.

• Set up standard usage terms and conditions and manage usage rights including informing stakeholders of expiry and leading renegotiations where necessary.

• Helping Tommy Hilfiger to remain a brand that models (new and existing) wish to represent.

The Ideal Candidate

• 4 -7 years’ experience in Casting and Model Booking within the fashion industry.

• Tenure within either model agency or ‘client side’ in-house team.

• Proven network of international agencies and established industry relationships.

• Demonstrable experience of firm but fair negotiations within time-critical situations.

• Exceptional stakeholder management skills and ability to give and receive candid feedback.

• Highly organized and detailed oriented to deliver ‘brand-right’ bookings.

• Capability to deliver amidst ambiguity and diverging opinion.

• Capability to work with minimal guidance and define new processes for themselves and others.

• Capability to solve complex problems and gain cooperation of peers and stakeholders in doing so.

• Experience in presenting to executive functions.

• Strongly indexes in the above PVH Leadership Behaviors.
