The Department & Team
The Technical Development team drives innovation and creativity in the product development. We are responsible for the end-to-end technical process, from initial concept to final garment, the team ensures high-quality standards and product excellence while meeting company and divisional KPIs.
By closely collaborating with key stakeholders—including Product Development, Design, Merchandising, and global teams—the team plays a vital role in delivering the brand's DNA.
The Position
The Technical Development Manager ensures the highest product quality and pattern creation by collaborating with stakeholders, vendors, and guiding the Technical Development team.
They will oversee team operations, providing strategic direction aligned with brand goals, while addressing key challenges such as overdevelopment, calendar risks, and vendor performance, escalating when necessary.
The manager leads technical product creation throughout the development cycle, attending key milestone meetings (e.g., sketch launch, proto review, SMS review) and advising on product improvements for production handover.
Key Responsibilities:
Research & development
Cutting patterns and supporting the team during busy periods. This is a hands on role.
Recruit, maintain & nurture high performing teams, including managing learning and development of direct reports & wider teams development.
Maintain close relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Developing close relationships with vendors in all aspects related to brand & product expectations
Provide (ad hoc) analyses and reporting for presentations to management and key stakeholders
Manage the atelier and atelier calendar
Manager atelier supplies & equipment
The Ideal Candidate Description:
7+ years of experience, with a minimum of 2+ years managing a team
A bachelor/ master’s degree in fashion, garment technology, pattern cutting or equivalent experience in fashion, clothing, or textiles industry
Pattern cutting experience to a high level- both male and female product.
Runway experience is a must.
Gerber & Adobe suit knowledge is essential
Strong knowledge in all aspects of technical product development, including construction, production & grading development and management.
Atelier management & toiling experience is preferred
Effective communication skills: inclusive team player, interdepartmental collaboration, stakeholder management
Strong analytical skills with proactive problem solving skills and attention to data and policies
Able to work in a highly productive, multicultural, fast paced environment with a hands-on approach
Self-driven, pragmatic, and business mind set
Ability to travel internationally

Good command of written & spoken English
